About the role#
Airbus Helicopters is seeking a long-term intern to join our Production Planning team in Columbus, Mississippi. This multi-semester position offers the chance to work alongside planning, engineering, and operations professionals. You will gain practical experience in the aircraft manufacturing industry while contributing to daily operations and lean manufacturing initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Assist in industrial project management and planning operations.
- Help set up work orders and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Maintain clear statements of work by tracking changes to existing contracts.
- Support manufacturing engineers with data collection and analysis.
- Create leading indicators to help leadership make informed decisions.
- Maintain master schedules and update project schedules as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited college or university, specifically in Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Must be local or nearby the Columbus, Mississippi area.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency with PC computers, MS Office (especially Excel and Word), and SAP (Module MM, PP, Outlook).
- Strong knowledge of technical terms.
- Must be a US Person under ITAR definition.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, and protective gloves.
