About the role#
As an HVAC Engineering Intern at Ahern, you will gain hands-on experience by working directly with our engineering team in Madison. This is a paid, full-time position that offers the opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world mechanical projects. You will be paired with an experienced mentor to guide your professional development.
What you'll do#
- Prepare detailed layouts for HVAC projects under the guidance of a mentor.
- Support engineers with equipment selection and system layout oversight.
- Provide technical information to the estimating team for bid packages.
- Participate in the review process for HVAC specification development and control strategies.
- Contribute engineering input to operations plans for system commissioning and start-up.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs.
- A strong interest in developing your knowledge of mechanical systems.
