About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. You will work on fire suppression system projects and gain hands-on experience in the construction industry. This role is on-site and follows a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Design layouts for fire alarm and special hazards fire protection systems.
- Perform computer-generated hydraulic calculations.
- Create submittal drawings to secure building permits.
- Coordinate 3D BIM models using NavisWorks.
- Assist with project scheduling and on-site field surveys.
- Prepare material stock lists for pre-fabrication.
- Produce final installation drawings.
- Compile close-out, operation, and maintenance documents.
What you'll need#
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Good academic standing.
- Prior experience with AutoCAD is preferred.
- Familiarity with the construction industry is helpful.
