About the role#
Ahern is looking for a Fire Sprinkler Design Intern to join the team in Menomonie, Wisconsin. This role offers hands-on experience in fire protection system design. You will work on real projects that contribute to the company's work in the construction industry. This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Design automatic sprinkler systems using AutoCAD and AutoSPRINK.
- Create fire protection sprinkler systems that meet all applicable codes.
- Prepare stock lists using the standard company format.
- Verify that all project details align with specific requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor degree program in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Prior experience using AutoCAD.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with the construction industry.
