About the role#
AGCO Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based at our facility in Edgewood, Maryland. You will work on-site to gain practical experience in assembly operations, process improvement initiatives, and overall production efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering and continuous improvement projects focused on assembly line quality and operational efficiency.
- Conduct time studies and analyze production data to find ways to improve processes.
- Evaluate product flow, material handling, storage methods, and distribution processes.
- Spend time on the production floor to observe assembly operations, partner with team members, and identify solutions to daily challenges.
- Review assembly fixtures, tools, and workstation layouts to enhance ergonomics, safety, and productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and sustain process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college program pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field.
- A strong interest in manufacturing operations, assembly processes, and continuous improvement.
- A proactive attitude toward learning, supporting team goals, and participating in improvement efforts.
- Willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) tools, such as Pro/Engineer (Creo) or SolidWorks, is preferred.
