About the role#
As a Gleaner Tech Van Intern, you will join the AGCO Custom Harvest Tech Van team for the summer of 2027. You will travel alongside a mobile field service team to support harvesting operations across the Great Plains. This role involves working directly with specialists to troubleshoot and maintain high-tech combines during the busy harvest season.
What you'll do#
- Identify equipment and performance issues in the field.
- Use electronic diagnostic tools to read and address fault codes.
- Assist with repairs and maintenance on harvesting equipment.
- Adjust machines to optimize performance based on crop types and field conditions.
- Provide technical support to customers and harvest crews.
- Observe how precision agriculture technology functions in real-world conditions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, Diesel Technology, Mechanics, or a related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and customers.
- Willingness to travel full-time during the harvest season.
- Ability to work in outdoor agricultural environments.
- Physical capability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform tasks involving bending, reaching, and manual material handling.
