About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience supporting a major NASA contract. You will gain exposure to HR, finance, business operations, and contract management within a federal contractor environment. You will work on projects that support mission activities and contribute to process improvements.
What you'll do#
- Handle daily administrative tasks like document organization, filing, data entry, and tracking spreadsheets.
- Support HR and onboarding for COSMOS team members, including record maintenance and employee communication.
- Coordinate logistics, maintain calendars, and prepare materials for internal meetings.
- Manage personnel and business records according to ASCEND and NASA requirements.
- Assist with financial documentation, including budget tracking, invoices, and purchase orders.
- Help with process-improvement projects and workflow updates.
- Respond to inquiries from employees, subcontractors, and partners.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and summaries for the team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for Business, Management, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools like Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Interest in aerospace, government contracting, or public-sector operations is a plus.
