About the role#
Aecon is looking for a co-op student to join the Civil East division in Toronto for the Winter 2027 term. This role focuses on project cost controls and supports major infrastructure projects. You will work closely with project managers and analysts to ensure project data is accurate and reporting is timely.
What you'll do#
- Support the project team with cost-related control activities.
- Gather and share risk-related data with various stakeholders.
- Assist with project reporting, performance analysis, and document control.
- Help develop and maintain project dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators.
- Collect, validate, and analyze project cost and progress information.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and trend analysis tasks.
- Provide benchmarking information to support continuous improvement.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering or Construction Management program.
- Understanding of project management, cost engineering, or project controls.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Advanced Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
- A proven track record of good performance and attendance.
- Experience with Power BI or Primavera P6 is an asset.
- Bilingualism in French is an asset.

- Compensation: $23 to $28 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
