About the role#
AdvanSix is seeking a Production Engineering Co-Op for our Philadelphia manufacturing facility. This role sits within the Operations department and offers hands-on experience in a chemical manufacturing environment. You will focus on developing a mobile system to improve operator productivity, task management, and data collection. This position runs from January 2027 through August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement a mobile system to assist with task management and real-time data capture.
- Work with production engineers and plant operators to find workflow gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Collect, validate, and analyze data to support operational insights.
- Assist with troubleshooting and process optimization across plant systems.
- Document system functionality, user requirements, and process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- An interest in chemical manufacturing, plant operations, and process improvement.
- Experience with engineering analysis tools or software is a plus.

- Term: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027 (January through August).

- Compensation: This is a paid position at $25.00 per hour.
