About the role#
AdvanSix is hiring an Environmental Co-Op student for the Frankford plant. This is a full-time, paid position running from September 22, 2026, through March 26, 2027. You will work directly with the environmental department to support compliance and process improvement initiatives. Mentorship is provided by experienced environmental engineers and managers throughout your term.
What you'll do#
- Inspect the plant to identify environmental or safety issues.
- Assist with management system development and department procedures.
- Help prepare regulatory reporting documentation.
- Calculate environmental emissions.
- Contribute ideas to improve environmental performance.
- Participate in problem solving and incident investigations.
- Work alongside engineering, operations, maintenance, and contract personnel.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Environmental, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering program, or Business Administration.
- Knowledge of EPA compliance regulations.
- Experience with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
- Ability to perform emissions calculations.
- Strong organizational skills and professional maturity.
Location & details#
- Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (On-site).
- Term: Fall 2026 through Spring 2027.
- Compensation: $25.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday with flexible hours.
