About the role#
This is an academic internship for students seeking school credit. You will work alongside the head designer and junior designer to support the creation of new product lines. This role involves every stage of the design process, from initial mood boards to the final production-ready tech pack.
What you'll do#
- Create mood boards and design sketches for new products and enhancements to existing items.
- Develop and prepare technical packages and CADs for sampling and final production.
- Manage the sampling process by following up with factories.
- Visit print studios and fabric mills to source materials for the season.
- Participate in the selection of artwork and color palettes.
- Prepare final CAD presentations for the sales team.
- Sketch sample garments and assist with garment construction, specs, and fittings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a fashion design degree program.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), CAD fashion software, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience working on a Mac platform.
- Ability to manage tech packs, fittings, and design corrections.
- A portfolio is required for your application to be considered.
- Previous experience in children's wear is a plus.

- This position is based on-site in New York, New York.
- The role is full-time and operates on a rolling basis.
- This is a paid internship with a fixed monthly stipend.
