About the role#
The Mechanical & HVAC Refrigeration Intern will support the research, evaluation, and development of emerging technologies. This role focuses on enhancing the performance, efficiency, and reliability of drinking water and filtration products. You will work alongside Engineering, Product Management, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to turn innovative concepts into future product solutions.
What you'll do#
- Research industry trends, materials, and emerging technologies related to thermal management, refrigeration, and sustainability.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and technology assessments.
- Support feasibility studies, proof-of-concept development, and prototype builds.
- Assist engineering teams in testing new product concepts and validating designs.
- Participate in laboratory testing for thermal performance, energy efficiency, and product durability.
- Analyze test results and engineering data to provide recommendations for design improvements.
- Collaborate on product roadmaps and help translate customer needs into technical requirements.
- Develop reports, presentations, and technical documentation to summarize project findings.
- Assist with engineering calculations and simulations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC engineering, refrigeration engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Interest in product development, thermal systems, and emerging technologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.
