About the role#
As an Underwriting Intern, you will work within our Underwriting organization to gain hands-on experience. You will collaborate with experienced professionals and mentors on projects that support business growth, customer relationships, and risk management strategies.
What you'll do#
- Learn underwriting fundamentals through direct training and mentorship.
- Support financial reporting and analysis for the business unit.
- Use underwriting and business intelligence tools to prepare financial and operational reports.
- Assist with pipeline management and daily underwriting operations.
- Join meetings with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders.
- Review loss summaries and help with account analysis.
- Build professional relationships with customers, brokers, and partners in the insurance industry.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Risk Management, with plans to be enrolled in the Fall of 2027.
- Completion of at least two years of college coursework (rising Junior or Senior status).
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to solve problems in a customer-focused environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Involvement in leadership roles, campus organizations, or extracurricular activities.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. indefinitely.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with an hourly range of $21.00 to $23.00.
