About the role#
As an Underwriting Intern, you will work within our Underwriting organization to gain hands-on experience in risk management. You will work alongside experienced professionals on projects that support business growth and customer relationships. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Learn underwriting fundamentals through mentorship and hands-on training.
- Support business unit financial reporting and analysis.
- Prepare financial and operational reports using business intelligence tools.
- Support pipeline management and underwriting operations.
- Participate in meetings with clients, brokers, and stakeholders.
- Review loss summaries and assist with account analysis.
- Gain exposure to customer and partner relationships within the insurance industry.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
- You must be a rising Junior or Senior with at least two years of college coursework completed.
- Enrollment in a degree program for the Fall 2027 semester.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical and critical thinking abilities, plus experience in leadership roles or campus organizations.
- Ability to solve problems in a customer-focused environment.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
