About the role#
Zurich Alternative Asset Management (ZAAM) is seeking a Senior Investment Management Intern for the summer of 2027. This role is based in New York and involves working directly with the ZAAM team, which manages hedge fund, private equity, and real estate investments. You will spend approximately three months with the team, focusing on one or two specific asset classes while supporting ongoing investment processes.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the work of the hedge fund, private equity, and real estate teams.
- Conduct market and industry research.
- Perform due diligence analysis.
- Support asset management processes and procedures.
- Complete a summer research project and deliver a final presentation to the ZAAM group.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in or entering an advanced degree program (MBA, MS, or Ph.D.) by fall 2027.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
- Pursuit of an advanced degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Completed coursework in finance, accounting, statistics, or investments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience summarizing information.
- A quantitative or programming background.
- Attention to detail, professional maturity, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Self-motivation with the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with private equity, hedge fund, and real estate concepts.
