About the role#
As an Accounting Intern, you will join our organization for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside experienced professionals and mentors to contribute to projects that support our financial processes. This role offers exposure to the operations of a global insurance company.
What you'll do#
- Support key functions including Financial Reporting, General Accounting, Reinsurance, and Accounting Policy.
- Gain an understanding of insurance Profit and Loss statements and financial operations.
- Develop skills in SAP BPC and Business Objects queries.
- Build advanced Excel capabilities for data analysis.
- Learn about international accounting standards and how to interact across departments.
- Explore various functional areas through daily work tasks.
- Develop a deep understanding of general insurance operations.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s program with plans to return for the Fall 2027 semester.
- Completion of at least two years of college coursework (rising Junior or Senior status).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a leadership role.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems in a customer-focused environment.
