About the role#
The Community Engagement team acts as the public face of Zipline. You will build relationships with local government officials, civic groups, businesses, and schools to help them understand our logistics system and its impact on their neighborhoods. This role is for someone who enjoys communication, community building, and social impact.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning, promoting, and running community events, workshops, and virtual meetups.
- Write content for newsletters, social media, and other communication channels.
- Respond to community inquiries and engage with members across platforms.
- Research community needs, trends, and engagement strategies.
- Track engagement metrics and compile reports on feedback and outcomes.
- Provide general administrative support to the team.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- You have completed at least your second year of undergraduate studies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with social media platforms or digital tools for engagement.
- You are detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- A creative mindset and the ability to work with initiative.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship for Summer 2027 (May/June to August/September).
- Locations: Austin, TX; Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Los Angeles, CA; or Phoenix, AZ.
- You must have your own transportation to travel independently to operational sites, events, and partner locations.
- We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
