About the role#
The Community Engagement team acts as the public face of Zipline. You will build and maintain relationships with local government officials, civic organizations, schools, and neighborhood groups. This role focuses on helping the public understand the impact of our logistics system on their communities. We are looking for someone who enjoys communication and wants to help drive the adoption of our delivery services.
What you'll do#
- Plan, promote, and run community events, workshops, and virtual meetups.
- Create content for newsletters, social media, and other communication channels.
- Respond to community inquiries and talk with members across various platforms.
- Research community needs, current trends, and engagement strategies.
- Track engagement metrics and write reports on community feedback and project outcomes.
- Provide administrative support to the broader engagement team.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing or have recently finished a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- You have completed at least your second year of undergraduate studies.
- You possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You have experience using social media platforms or digital tools for community engagement.
- You are detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- You must be able to travel frequently throughout your assigned region and have your own transportation to reach operational sites and events.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship for Winter 2027 (January to April).
- Open locations include Austin, TX; Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Los Angeles, CA; and Phoenix, AZ.
- This position is paid.
