About the role#
The Assembly Intern supports production operations at our Marysville facility. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. You will assist with prototype builds, engineering projects, and daily plant operations. The role requires flexibility to work off-shift hours, weekends, or overtime when necessary to support our 3-shift production schedule.
What you'll do#
- Develop standardized communication strategies for key process indicators.
- Assist with prototype and engineering-specific production builds.
- Collaborate with Lean and Planning Specialists to launch division 5-S and new communication boards.
- Organize and set up a common folder and file system for the assembly network share drive.
- Gather and distribute daily production data to team members through standardized reports.
- Support data mining for Six Sigma projects and production operation studies.
- Work with IT specialists to launch a new online production database.
- Update production documents and standardized work instructions alongside process and quality engineers.
- Assist with plant-wide physical inventory activities.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a college degree program, preferably in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in the MS-Office Suite, specifically MS Excel macros and formulas.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and accept direction from multiple sources.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working in a team environment.
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
