About the role#
This year-long internship program offers a chance to gain practical work experience while living in a Christ-centered community. Interns serve at the Southwind camp in Ocklawaha, Florida, starting in May 2027. This is a full-time position where you will grow as a leader in ministry and serve alongside others committed to the mission of Young Life.
What you'll do#
- Minister as a servant of God by proclaiming the gospel.
- Rotate through multiple departments including Maintenance, Landscaping, Retail, Food Service, Housekeeping, Administration, and Guest Services.
- Convey Christ-like hospitality and concern for all guests and staff members.
- Respond to the unexpected needs of guests in a prompt and professional manner.
- Represent Young Life positively within the local community.
- Work with and minister to volunteer high school and college-age young people who attend the camp.
What you'll need#
- Profess a belief in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord.
- Subscribe to the Young Life Statement of Faith.
- Be at least 20 years of age or at least 2 years out of high school.
- Commit to the full term of the internship program.
- Demonstrate a teachable and faithful spirit.
- Willingness to fundraise part of your salary.
- Past experience on summer staff or work crew at a Young Life camp is preferred.
