About the role#
Interns play a central role in the Young Life camping ministry. This position is for individuals who want to lead others, serve with excellence, and grow in their relationship with Christ. You will join a team striving to serve kids and each other while gaining experience in ministry leadership and operations. This is a full-time, paid internship for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and fulfill ministry functions as required by the organization.
- Participate in spiritual formation activities, including Bible study, fellowship, worship, and meetings with a mentor.
- Provide hospitality to guests, staff, and vendors while building relationships with neighbors and the camp community.
- Provide oversight and leadership to camp volunteers.
- Manage finances, people, buildings, and equipment with integrity.
- Support a culture of safety for all guests, staff, and visitors.
- Participate in training and development opportunities specific to your department and camp-wide operations.
- Execute daily responsibilities required for camp operations.
What you'll need#
- Profess a belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord.
- Subscribe to the Young Life Statement of Faith and adhere to organizational policies.
- Willingness to commit to all program and lifestyle expectations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A teachable spirit and a sincere hunger to grow in your relationship with Jesus.
- Demonstrated qualities of faithfulness.
- Previous experience as Volunteer Summer Staff is preferred.
