About the role#
WSP is seeking an Overhead Transmission Line Design Engineering Intern to join our Power and Energy team. This full-time internship provides hands-on experience working alongside senior staff on real projects. You will gain exposure to the professional side of engineering while developing your technical skills.
What you'll do#
- Support a variety of engineering tasks to build your technical and professional skills.
- Learn the basic principles of Civil Engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Prepare final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Help maintain project documentation.
- Complete required training on assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Civil Engineering or related undergraduate program, with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- Strong interest in Civil Engineering and a desire to advance your skills.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing and office software.
- Ability to take direction from mentors and communicate effectively with different audiences.
- A commitment to workplace safety and professional conduct.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Saint Louis, Missouri.
- The internship is scheduled for the Summer 2027 and Fall 2027 semesters.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
- No relocation or housing assistance is provided for this role.
