About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work within our Power and Energy team in Billings, Montana. The 12-week program begins on May 17, 2027, though individual start dates may be flexible. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects to build your technical and professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering tasks to develop your technical and ethical skills.
- Learn basic principles of Mechanical Engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Help prepare final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete training on assigned tasks and follow company policies regarding resources and conduct.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Undergraduate program for Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- A demonstrated interest in Electrical Engineering or related subjects.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, spreadsheets, and engineering tools.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both engineering and non-engineering audiences.
