About the role#
WM is looking for finance and accounting students to join our team for a 12-week internship. You will rotate through two or three departments, such as Accounting, Corporate Finance, Internal Audit, Investor Relations, or Treasury and Risk Management. You will work alongside a mentor and have the chance to network with department leaders. This role is full-time and provides hands-on experience with financial and corporate accounting projects.
What you'll do#
- Identify and define problems.
- Conduct analysis and prepare recommendations for your manager.
- Synthesize your findings to draw conclusions.
- Present your recommendations in writing or orally.
- Execute tasks related to functional projects and process improvements.
- Communicate project roadblocks or issues as they arise.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build relationships and gather information across different business groups.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Houston, Texas.
- The role is hybrid, with in-office work required Monday through Thursday and remote work on Fridays.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
