About the role#
This internship provides experience in a credit analyst role within our commercial banking team. You will build a professional network while developing technical skills during a 12-week program running from May through August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Work with colleagues to meet business objectives.
- Learn the approval process for commercial loans.
- Analyze credit and financial information for businesses and individuals to assess risk.
- Generate and interpret financial ratios to evaluate an applicant's financial condition.
- Spread balance sheets and income statements using financial statement software.
- Perform collateral analysis for current and prospective customers.
- Underwrite and present a Credit Approval Presentation for annual reviews and renewals.
- Participate in intern program activities, events, community service projects, and professional development sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a U.S. college or university, preferably entering your junior or senior year.
- Concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business writing skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Open-mindedness and a willingness to learn.
- Leadership experience through extracurricular activities or volunteering.
- Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. now and in the future.
Location & details#
- Location: Frisco, Texas.
- Modality: This is a full-time, on-site position requiring 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship at a rate of $19.00 per hour.
