About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship for the Summer of 2027. You will join the Commercial Banking team to develop technical skills in a credit analyst role while building your professional network. You will work 40 hours per week in an on-site environment.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet business objectives.
- Learn the approval process for commercial loans.
- Analyze credit and financial information to determine the risk of extending credit.
- Generate and interpret financial ratios to evaluate an applicant's financial condition.
- Spread balance sheets and income statements using financial software.
- Perform collateral analysis for current and prospective customers.
- Underwrite and present Credit Approval Presentations for annual reviews and renewals.
- Participate in program activities, community service projects, and professional development sessions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a U.S. college or university, preferably entering your junior or senior year.
- A concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems.
- Strong business writing skills.
- An open mind and a willingness to learn new information.
- Experience in leadership, extra-curricular activities, or volunteering.
- Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship.

- This position is located in Holland, Michigan.
- You must be able to work on-site.
- The pay rate for this role is $19.00 per hour.
