About the role#
The New York office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is hiring a Financial Data Analyst Intern to support the Finance and Accounting team. This role offers hands-on experience within an international law firm. You will assist the team in analyzing, interpreting, and reporting financial data to support business decisions. This is a year-round, on-site internship requiring a commitment of at least four days per week in the office.
What you'll do#
- Compile financial information to prepare journal entries.
- Assist with foreign operations accounting and fixed asset accounting.
- Prepare and analyze account reconciliations.
- Use ad-hoc reporting tools including Excel, Access, and Crystal Reports.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accounting or finance degree program with a strong academic record.
- Standing as an incoming Junior or Senior student.
- Proficiency in Excel, Access, and Microsoft applications.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Employment Type: Full-time/Part-time (Hourly, non-exempt).
- Pay Range: $20.00 to $28.00 per hour.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit at a desk for most of the workday, handle office equipment with accuracy, and lift or carry objects up to 15 pounds.
