About the role#
Williams International is hiring a Machining Intern to work at our Ogden facility. This role involves learning the manufacturing process for jet engine components. You will work between 20 and 40 hours per week depending on current openings and your schedule. The company covers tuition for students who need assistance and offers potential for full-time employment after completing 900 hours of coursework.
What you'll do#
You will support the production team while maintaining the quality and safety standards defined in the Company Quality Policy. Your daily tasks include interpreting manufacturing requirements and demonstrating technical aptitude. You must maintain a 20-hour weekly minimum and keep a progress rate of at least 67 percent in your current college program.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a machinist certificate program at a Utah Technology College
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and push or pull 60 lbs
- Minimum grip strength of 50 lbs
- Ability to interact with team members and management
- U.S. citizenship
