This eight-month internship provides an immersive introduction to the commercial operations of an international gallery, focusing on Sales and Secondary Market departments. You will gain direct experience in the processes, research, and professional relationships that support the gallery's commercial activity. This role is designed to build foundational knowledge of the art market and is particularly suited for individuals who have not yet had the opportunity to work in the sector.
What you'll do#
- Support the Secondary Market department by conducting in-depth object and market research.
- Compile exhibition histories and provenance documentation.
- Track auction results and contribute to the preparation of sales presentations and proposals.
- Assist the Sales team with client research and manage sales data.
- Prepare artwork offer packs and presentation materials.
- Gain exposure to art fairs and contemporary auctions while building familiarity with the gallery programme.
What you'll need#
- A demonstrable interest in contemporary art.
- Knowledge of the White Cube programme.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct in-depth market research.
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Art, Communications, Marketing, or Business Administration.

- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Fall 2026 (commencing early October).
- Modality: On-site, Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
