About the role#
The Youth Recovery CT (YRCT) internship offers an opportunity to support youth recovery initiatives and contribute a youth perspective to recovery services. You will work on projects that engage young people throughout their recovery journeys.
What you'll do#
- Perform administrative tasks to support YRCT grantees.
- Train as a SMART Recovery facilitator and co-facilitate meetings.
- Represent YRCT at community events to promote the program.
- Help update and maintain the YRCT website.
- Attend a virtual intern seminar twice a month on Fridays from 10am to 12pm.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 2-4 year higher education program in social work or a related human services field.
- Lived experience or familiarity with the recovery community is preferred.
- Insight into current trends regarding young people in recovery is preferred.
- Experience with social media platforms is preferred.
- Ability to attend a mandatory three-day in-person orientation in Bristol.
- Ability to maintain a regular attendance schedule throughout the internship, regardless of school vacation calendars.

- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship based in Plainville, Connecticut.
- The term is rolling.
