About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern on the WEX Technology team, you will collaborate with Product Managers and engineers to solve business challenges. You will gain hands-on experience building scalable software and developing AI-driven solutions.
What you'll do#
- Design, prototype, and deploy AI agents and LLM integrations to automate workflows.
- Work across the full software lifecycle, from API design to deployment.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into microservices.
- Apply TDD and BDD practices in your daily work.
- Engage in peer mentorship and explore new technologies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in at least one server-side language, specifically C#, Go, or Java.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, LLM integration, or AI agent frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is fully remote.
