About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work with engineers and product managers to build backend systems and AI-integrated workflows. This is a 13-week paid internship program running from late May to mid-August. You will contribute to projects, receive mentorship, and participate in weekly learning experiences.
What you'll do#
- Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend processing pipelines using C# or Java.
- Write efficient SQL queries for SQL Server.
- Support deployments on Microsoft Azure.
- Use AI tools like Cursor, Copilot, and MCPs for spec-driven development, rapid prototyping, and task automation.
- Partner with senior engineers to apply best practices in microservices and message-driven architectures.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least your Sophomore year of school.
- Proficiency in C# (preferred) or Java.
- Strong SQL skills for SQL Server.
- Understanding of API design principles, backend processing architectures, and Microsoft Azure.
- Practical experience using AI coding assistants or APIs.
- Knowledge of event streaming technologies like Kafka or messaging architectures is a plus.
