About the role#
We are looking for a motivated student to join our Data Acquisition Team. This team serves as the entry point to our Data-as-a-Service platform, where we ingest, validate, and orchestrate raw data from internal systems and third-party providers. You will work across various data domains and ingestion patterns, including batch, streaming, and event-driven architectures, ensuring that quality, performance, and governance remain at the forefront of our operations.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to projects that use AI and machine learning to address business needs like fraud prevention and credit risk assessment.
- Develop and enhance our agentic AI platform by building intelligent agents that automate workflows and assist in decision-making.
- Create tools to process, enrich, and optimize core company data.
- Design and implement AI-assisted workflows to optimize our production environment.
- Apply specification-driven development and declarative system design to build scalable, model-driven solutions.
- Gain experience with big data technologies, including data ingestion, processing, and analysis.
- Partner with engineers and researchers to brainstorm solutions and solve technical challenges.
- Present research findings and project outcomes to the team and stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Programming experience, including the ability to write, test, debug, and troubleshoot code.
- Hands-on experience developing software through internships, academic coursework, research, or personal projects.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, or JavaScript.
- Ability to apply programming concepts to develop effective and maintainable solutions.
- Experience working with data, including analysis, manipulation, or visualization.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and core DevOps practices.
- Exposure to data processing, including SQL, ELT, and data warehousing, along with foundational AI and machine learning concepts.
- Interest in Spec-Driven Development and using AI assistants to write structured code.
- A solution-oriented mindset with a desire to master scalable system design.
- Ability to articulate technical ideas clearly and work effectively within a team.
- A customer-focused approach to turning business problems into software solutions.
- Prior contributions to open-source projects or academic publications are a plus.
