About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will join our team in Kitchener to support nuclear energy projects. You will work under the guidance of experienced engineers on the design, drafting, testing, and implementation of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design and optimize control systems and software for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Create electrical schematics, manufacturing drawings, and technical documentation.
- Support the assembly, testing, and commissioning of systems to ensure they meet design specifications.
- Evaluate electro-mechanical components and prepare specifications for purchasing.
- Assist with software development, the creation of test procedures, and the operation of tooling systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Electrical Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of study with a minimum GPA of 75%.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar design and drafting software.
- Understanding of electrical systems, electronic equipment, and computer hardware.
- Experience creating technical drawings, schematics, or engineering design documentation.
Location & details#
- Location: Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with 2 days per week required onsite at the Kitchener office.
- Term: 4 months, beginning in May 2027.
