About the role#
This is an 8-month full-time co-op position starting in September 2026. You will work alongside engineers and managers to gain experience within the operating and engineering groups at FortisBC.
What you'll do#
- Perform site visits with the Distribution Design Group.
- Document typical work tasks and update training materials.
- Work with the Design Group, Regulatory, and Operations teams to update process documentation.
- Provide technical support to the Distribution Design and Operations group.
- Update Distribution Design tools and configurations using MS Excel or scripting methods.
- Liaise with other utilities to help develop strategic department changes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Engineering program with an Electrical focus (third or fourth year).
- Current enrollment in a co-op program.
- A valid driver’s license and current abstract.
