About the role#
This is not a traditional social media posting role. Your work involves finding where relevant conversations happen, understanding the culture of each community, and participating in a way that feels natural, helpful, and human. You will spend your time on LinkedIn, Facebook Groups, Reddit, industry forums, and other corners of the internet where dealership professionals and automotive leaders exchange ideas. We are looking for someone who is clever, resourceful, curious, and comfortable navigating online spaces.
What you'll do#
- Find Facebook Groups, LinkedIn communities, Reddit discussions, and forums where our target audience spends time.
- Participate in discussions to build genuine relationships with community members.
- Identify conversations where our expertise, content, or perspective adds value.
- Respond to questions and discussions in a natural, non-corporate way.
- Monitor trending discussions, recurring questions, industry pain points, and complaints.
- Find creative ways to introduce Matador without making interactions feel like advertising.
- Surface interesting insights, conversations, and observations to our marketing, sales, and product teams.
What you'll need#
- A deep understanding of how social media platforms function beyond just publishing content.
- Comfort navigating Reddit, Facebook Groups, LinkedIn, forums, and Discord-style communities.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt your tone to different audiences.
- The ability to work independently without a detailed playbook.
- A natural curiosity and the ability to research people, companies, and topics quickly.
- Current enrollment or background in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or Business Administration.
Location & details#
- Location: Hybrid in Laval, Quebec.
- Role type: Internship.
- Compensation: $21.00-$22.00 per hour.
- Schedule: 20 hours per week.
