About the role#
This paid, ten-week summer internship runs from June 7th to August 13th, 2027. You will join the Claims team to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry. The program includes classroom training, a formal mentor program, and a group project. You will work alongside industry leaders and attend weekly sessions with senior staff.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the intake and setup of new claims in internal systems.
- Review loss notices to verify the accuracy of documentation.
- Organize and maintain digital and physical claim files.
- Gather and summarize key claim information and legal documents.
- Liaise with underwriters, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in claim review meetings and status calls.
- Input data into management systems and correct inconsistencies.
- Track deadlines for litigation and investigation milestones.
- Learn the end-to-end claims lifecycle and observe strategies in high-risk areas.
- Attend training on insurance law, policy interpretation, and regulatory compliance.
- Shadow professionals across different departments to understand business operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters degree program at a 4-year college or university.
- A minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Leadership experience from work, community service, athletics, or clubs.
- Technical and digital proficiency.

- This role is based in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey.
- You must be able to work on-site 4 days a week.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
