About the role#
Western Community College is seeking a Student Counsellor for a permanent, full-time position. This role focuses on providing academic, career, and personal support to students while coordinating services across the college community.
What you'll do#
- Provide counselling to students regarding educational, career, and vocational matters, including course selection and career planning.
- Coordinate counselling and information services for students, parents, and teaching staff.
- Liaise with teachers, parents, college administrators, and community agencies to support student needs and progress.
- Administer and interpret standardized intelligence, aptitude, and interest assessments.
- Identify students who require specialized support and facilitate referrals to appropriate outside services.
- Participate in educational conferences and professional development workshops to maintain current knowledge of counselling practices.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Fluency in English.
- Academic background in Psychology, Human Resources, Sociology, or Business Administration.

- Location: Surrey, British Columbia.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
