Western Community College is seeking a full-time Student Counsellor to provide academic, career, and personal support to students. This role involves coordinating services and maintaining communication with faculty, administrators, and families to ensure student success.
What you'll do#
- Provide counselling on educational, career, and vocational matters, including course selection and career planning.
- Coordinate counselling and information services for students, parents, and teaching staff.
- Liaise with teachers, college administrators, and community agencies regarding student progress and needs.
- Administer and interpret standardized intelligence, aptitude, and interest assessments.
- Identify students who require specialized support and facilitate referrals to appropriate outside services.
- Participate in professional development workshops and conferences to maintain current knowledge of counselling practices.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Fluency in English.
- Academic background in Psychology, Human Resources, Sociology, or Business Administration.

- Compensation: $37 per hour.
