About the role#
The West Michigan Whitecaps offer a hands-on internship focused on the sports business world. This role provides experience in ticket sales, hospitality, and stadium operations. It is a full-time, paid position that includes a monthly stipend and shared housing.
What you'll do#
Your primary focus is ticket sales. You will coordinate the Reading Club Program, Kids Club, and birthday packages. You will also participate in the group sales process and individual game sales.
Beyond sales, you will assist with the hospitality side of operations at the ballpark. This includes setting up, coordinating, and staffing picnic areas. You will also participate in Guest Services initiatives and assist with field maintenance tasks, such as tarping the field.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior standing at a college or university.
- Within 3 semesters of graduation.
- Pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or Sports Management.
- Ability to receive academic credit for the internship.
- A valid driver’s license.
Location & details#
This position is based in Comstock Park, Michigan. It runs from Winter 2027 through Summer 2027. You must have full-time availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Non-event days typically run Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. On game days, the schedule begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends after the event concludes.
