About the role#
This paid internship provides an 11-week immersion into the credit department at Werner Enterprises. You will gain real-world experience while connecting your classroom learning to actual business operations. The program includes dedicated job training, mentorship, and opportunities to network with leadership. You will also participate in community support events and a summer project presentation.
What you'll do#
- Perform credit reviews for customers by pulling reports and reviewing financial documents to support audit compliance.
- Report directly to department management and assist with various tasks as needed.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to complete projects.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to engage with others respectfully.
- Ability to organize your work and manage multiple priorities.
- A problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail.
- Professionalism and empathy when handling sensitive conversations.
- A willingness to take initiative and learn within a team environment.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based at the corporate headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska, with some remote and off-site work opportunities available.
