About the role#
Wellington Management is seeking undergraduate students for our 2027 Technology Summer Internship. This 10-week paid program offers hands-on software engineering experience and exposure to the investment management industry. You will work full-time at our Boston headquarters, building practical technology solutions alongside experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with fellow interns to identify, design, build, test, and deliver a software application that addresses a real business challenge.
- Analyze user needs, gather feedback, and apply creative problem-solving to develop solutions.
- Perform requirements gathering, application design, coding, and testing.
- Take ownership of a key project workstream while partnering with teammates and stakeholders.
- Build relationships through networking and engagement with business and technology professionals.
- Present project outcomes, recommendations, and lessons learned to senior leaders at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current sophomore or junior undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor's degree.
- Experience with software engineering, data analysis, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Python.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Involvement in campus organizations, leadership activities, or volunteer work.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Curiosity and adaptability in exploring emerging technologies and AI tools.
