About the role#
This internship provides exposure to the end-to-end supply chain operations at Electric Machinery, a division of WEG. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain insights into procurement, logistics, and inventory management. Throughout the summer, you will collaborate with various departments to support sourcing and inventory control while managing specific project-oriented assignments.
What you'll do#
- Support functional areas including Sourcing, Procurement, and Inventory Control.
- Manage project schedules to ensure tasks are completed within the required timeframe.
- Lead projects focused on financial and operational optimization, such as analyzing slow-moving inventory, redefining safety stock levels, or quantifying carrying costs.
- Identify and present a final project that illustrates your contribution to the company.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time student with junior status or higher pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of SAP, LEAN, or Continuous Improvement practices.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through student groups, volunteer work, or extracurricular activities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to solve problems and draw valid conclusions.

- Compensation: $21.00 to $22.50 per hour.
