About the role#
This summer internship provides hands-on experience within the LNG Division of WEC Energy Group. You will work alongside a team of multi-disciplinary engineers to support the operation, maintenance, and performance of our LNG facilities. This is a full-time, paid position based in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, with required travel to sites in Whitewater and Ixonia. The role begins in May or June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform equipment inspections and investigate equipment failures.
- Troubleshoot operation and maintenance issues.
- Assist in managing small projects and provide general project support.
- Review and update technical drawings and procedures.
- Focus on equipment reliability and plant performance optimization.
- Network with other engineering interns across the fleet.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
- Graduation date must be after July 2027.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8.
- High School Diploma, GED, or HSED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Compensation: $23.10 per hour with paid company holidays.
