    About the role#

    This internship provides practical experience with utility engineering practices and electric distribution systems. You will join the Electric Distribution Asset Management team to support planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operations. Interns are assigned to a specific functional area, such as Substations, System Protection, Reliability, Planning Support, Materials and Standards, or Inspection and Maintenance.

    What you'll do#

    • Support electric distribution design, construction, and maintenance projects.
    • Use software tools to model the distribution grid and its components.
    • Analyze distribution system data to improve the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the grid.
    • Collaborate with engineers and other technical professionals on daily operations and project initiatives.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a graduation date of June 2027 or later.
    • Minimum GPA of 2.8.
    • High School Diploma, GED, or HSED.
    • Valid Driver's License.

    Location & details#

    • Locations: Milwaukee, Appleton, or Green Bay, Wisconsin.
    • Term: Summer 2027, starting in May.
    • Modality: Full-time and on-site.
    • Compensation: $23.10 to $27.55 per hour, plus paid company holidays.
    • Note: Sponsorship for work authorization is not available.
