About the role#
We Energies is seeking IT interns to join our team for the summer of 2027. You will be assigned to one of our three divisions: Operations Applications, Infrastructure Operations, or Enterprise Security and Compliance. Your specific tasks depend on your team, but you will engage in a mix of project and support work. This is a paid, full-time position during the summer, with the potential to continue working part-time during the academic year.
What you'll do#
- Develop, test, deploy, and support software solutions.
- Install, upgrade, maintain, and decommission infrastructure components.
- Manage user and access provisioning.
- Monitor systems and analyze data for vulnerability risks and threats.
- Collaborate with team members to solve technical problems.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma, GED, or HSED.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Graduation date after June 2027.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8.
- Full-time availability during the summer of 2027.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- Work Modality: Hybrid arrangement with time spent in the office.
- Compensation: Hourly rate between $23.10 and $27.55.
