About the role#
We are looking for a Co-Op Engineer to support our gas storage operations in Fisher, Illinois. This position provides hands-on experience with the systems and equipment that keep energy flowing to our customers. You will work alongside experienced engineering team members on a variety of technical projects.
What you'll do#
You will support the design and operation of infrastructure related to underground gas storage. Your work will involve the following areas:
- Field piping, valves, and gas storage wells
- Station piping, regulators, meters, and heat exchangers
- Gas withdrawal processes, including slug catchers, dehydrators, reboilers, and thermal oxidizers
- Injection processes using 5000 hp natural gas compressors
- CO2 removal processes
- LNG liquefaction and vaporization systems
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Petroleum Engineering
- Graduation date of July 2027 or later
- Minimum GPA of 2.8
- High School Diploma, GED, or HSED
- Valid driver license
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with fluid or thermal dynamics projects
- AutoCAD experience
- Prior internship experience is preferred

- Compensation: $23.10 per hour with paid company holidays
