About the role#
This co-op position offers an opportunity to develop engineering skills within the natural gas industry. You will gain experience with gas transmission and distribution, construction projects, system maintenance, and asset management systems.
What you'll do#
- Support survey management software, hardware, and compliance monitoring tools.
- Support GIS models of gas distribution systems.
- Review and analyze gas asset information in various data systems, such as services, mains, valves, and stations, and perform necessary updates.
- Participate in training on the natural gas industry, construction standards, and work procedures.
- Perform site visits to observe utility construction, maintenance, and customer service functions.
- Design and generate reports for engineering, regulatory, and operational requests.
- Produce system training materials like manuals, reference guides, and presentations.
- Assist engineers with capital construction projects.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma, HSED, or GED.
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8 or above.
