    About the role#

    As a Technician Intern, you will work alongside a mentor to gain the expertise needed to become a Caterpillar Technician. This program focuses on building technical knowledge through hands-on experience in a professional environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Caterpillar engines and machinery.
    • Use hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, laptops, diagnostic software, cranes, and rigging equipment.
    • Work with engines, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
    • Follow service manuals and technical guidelines to ensure repairs meet Caterpillar standards.
    • Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements.
    • Remove, install, disassemble, assemble, test, and adjust components and assemblies.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in Mechanical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering.
    • A GPA of 2.5 or higher.
    • Ability to arrange housing near the school campus and the local Warren CAT location if needed.
    • A commitment to professional development.
    • Successful completion of the Work Steps assessment.

    • Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Rolling.
    • This is a paid, full-time internship.
    • This position requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and is considered a safety-sensitive role. Travel of up to 5% may be required.
