About the role#
The Diesel Technician Intern works with the Service Manager and experienced technicians to maintain diesel equipment. You will assist with inspections, preventive maintenance, and record keeping. This role provides hands-on experience with vehicle repairs and shop operations under the guidance of mentors.
What you'll do#
- Inspect vehicles and run diagnostic tests to identify worn or damaged parts.
- Complete preventive maintenance schedules, winterization, and corrosion control.
- Perform basic repairs based on your skill level and assist mentors with major projects.
- Test engine, safety, and combustion control systems to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Troubleshoot shop equipment breakdowns and manage supply levels.
- Participate in educational opportunities to build your technical knowledge.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver license with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with tooling, mechanical inspection tools, and supply management.
- Strong attention to detail and a dependable work ethic.
- Excellent verbal communication and documentation skills.

- Pay: $28 - $31 per hour.
