About the role#
The Diesel Technician Intern works alongside the Service Manager and experienced technicians to maintain diesel equipment. You will assist with inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Inspect vehicles and run diagnostic tests to identify damaged or worn parts.
- Perform preventive maintenance, install upgrades, and complete winterization procedures.
- Handle basic repairs based on your skill level with mentor oversight.
- Support mentors during major repair projects.
- Test engines and safety systems to ensure compliance with federal and state standards.
- Document all services and repairs accurately.
- Maintain shop equipment by troubleshooting breakdowns and managing supplies.
- Stay current on technical regulations through educational opportunities.
- Follow company ethical standards and attend work as scheduled.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency with tooling, mechanical inspection tools, and supply management.
- Strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to tasks.
- Good verbal communication and documentation skills.
- Dependability and a solid base of technical knowledge.

- Location: Fargo, North Dakota, USA.
- Pay: $28-$31 per hour.
- Schedule: Full-time.
